(First Car Detailed!)
(Our original logo design and business card!)
Detailing for MCAS began as a summer-long car detailing fundraiser, launched by high school student Michael-Christopher Suman, whose loved one is living with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS) — a rare, often overlooked immune disorder that causes a wide range of debilitating symptoms.
After witnessing the lack of awareness, research funding, and proper diagnosis surrounding MCAS, Michael combined a passion for cars with a purpose: raising money to support those affected by the condition. What started as a local effort quickly gained momentum. The fundraiser raised over $1,000, attracted a team of dedicated volunteers, and inspired community-wide support.
Due to its feedback, the initiative was transformed into a nonprofit organization — dedicated to raising awareness, funding research, and supporting the MCAS community. Detailing for MCAS is now a youth-led movement using creativity, entrepreneurship, and advocacy to make a real difference in the lives of those battling invisible illness.
Whether someone chooses to donate, volunteer, or share the mission, every action helps drive progress forward.
Together, we're turning clean cars into a cleaner future for MCAS awareness.
