YOUTH

EMPOWERMENT

Each card reminds patients that a global community is supporting them.

PATIENT

SPOTLIGHT

Each week, a new patient is highlighted. Volunteers are given details about the child’s interests, guiding the creation of personalized artwork.

QUALITY

REVIEWED

All submissions are reviewed to ensure quality and consistency before being distributed to hospitals or mailed directly to families.

HAND CRAFTED

ARTWORK

Volunteers design handmade and digital artwork, including cards, bookmarks, posters, origami, bracelets, and crochet items.

These items provide both distraction and joy, easing long hospital stays and reducing feelings of isolation.

Most cases of systemic mastocytosis are caused by a random change (mutation) in the KIT gene. Typically, this flaw in the KIT gene is not inherited. Too many mast cells are produced and build up in tissues and body organs, releasing substances such as histamine, leukotrienes and cytokines that cause inflammation and symptoms.

What makes this program most unique is its ability to bring the world into the hospital room. We have partnered with organizations such as the Cleveland Clinic and other organizations to be able to host interactive experiences that patients would not otherwise be able to enjoy.
